The Maggie - BRECKENRIDGE

My boyfriend and I made reservations for 8 o'clock on Saturday night. When we got there, the dining room was pretty full so we sat at a table in the bar area, which was actually quieter. The lighting was very low, which gave the restaurant an intimate vibe. Our waitress was super nice and gave great menu suggestions. The portions were perfect size! We really enjoyed this place! This is undoubtedly the best Italian restaurant in Breckenridge. The location is beautiful, and the interior of the restaurant is charming. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The pasta, appetizers, and pizza are all fantastic. They also offer a complete cocktail and beer menu. I highly recommend making reservations in advance. There are also great family-style options available. Overall, it’s an excellent restaurant, and we will definitely return!

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! We held our rehearsal dinner here, and they were incredibly accommodating, especially during the Covid pandemic. Since then, we've celebrated Christmas here each year, and we've never had a negative experience. The food is delicious, and the staff is outstanding! Our recent visit for Christmas featured the best server, Kat, who was both charming and delightful! We truly adore this place! They put in such hard work, even during the holidays when most other places are closed!

This restaurant is situated above a stream and features a lovely area with all glass windows, creating a nice ambiance. The interior is very appealing. They offer an impressive selection of whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches, but there isn't a menu for these; you’ll need to browse the bottles instead, which is a bit odd. The service was average to slightly better than average. The food, however, was quite impressive—everything we tried was delicious. I definitely recommend going for the food! However, I would advise against the $20 bourbon flight from the local distillery; while the pours were generous, the taste was disappointing and not smooth at all. Overall, I highly recommend this place and will definitely return! I was very happy with the quality of the food. Our bill for two, including drinks, came to around $120.00.

The penne alla vodka with chicken was also delicious and held up well when reheated. The family portion is quite generous, enough to serve at least four people in my opinion. Unlike many places where this dish tends to be overly sauced, here it was perfectly balanced. The chicken parmesan, often a hit-or-miss dish, was executed excellently. It was crisp and well-fried, served with just the right amount of pasta and sauce, topped with thinly shaved cheese rather than being overloaded, along with fresh basil. The dessert was fantastic too. I didn’t manage to capture a good photo of the tiramisu, but it was undoubtedly the best I’ve had anywhere. The service was attentive and accommodating for our group. While it wasn't incredibly fast, if you're looking for a quick meal, you might as well head to the frozen section at City Market. You can't rush the quality of taste and presentation that I experienced at Sauce on the Maggie. Take your time and savor the feast for your palate and eyes. I look forward to returning to try more dishes!
