Restaurant Tandure - Braunschweig

Ate here with business colleagues. Good choice of Turkish food dishes all at a reasonable price. There is a large ‘outdoor’ area with an electric roof if the weather gets colder as the evening moves on. Food quality and service were excellent. Staff were a...little ‘stiff’ but really couldn’t complain

We walked mintes to eat at this place knowing that it closed at We arrived at We asked if it would be possible to have lunch for four people. And the employee said, he wasn’t sure if it would be possible. Then...he simply went to the kitchen and asked someone there:”hey, we don’t have more lunch, do we?”. We found it completely unacceptable, how can a place which closes at refuse to sell meals minutes before closing time. Fortunately we found a very nice restaurant some meters away were people promptly offered us places to sit

Best for Turkish/Kurdish cuisine, good service, friendly owner family, tasty food, every time is full with locals and city guests. Prices are high but you will receive good quality

We were lucky as we came on a busy Saturday night and were set in the BAR. We asked the waiter to please let us know if a table was to be free and so he did. Nice ambience and smiling waiters and waitresses, although...it took a long while before we were served our drinks. We ordered starters, aubergine with dressing and feta cheese. Very good. As for mains we both ordered salmon. As a Norwegian i was not very impressed. It might have been a fresh salmon but the way it was cooked it had a very weird taste. I believe it was the cooking oil because it was almost like fried and it left a strange after taste. The vegetables were really good though and it also came with a nice, little salad. All in all an ok dinner, but I wish they had more on the menu for people not eating meat but enjoy fish and seafood. By the looks of the menu they had a lot of vegetarian options

This was my second visit to Tandure after a year and I have to recommend it for its typical Turkish cuisine and a very nice atmosphere
