Café Haertle - Braunschweig

Wow what a wonderful cafe. We were celebrating a birthday so had a table for 10, nice view of the outside street and park across the street. The setting is wonderful gorgeous art (for sale) dons the walls, it's a light, bright sunny...atmosphere with a ton of seating inside and out. The cake selection? We'll let's just say I've NEVER seen anything like it. Wonderful choices, exquisitely prepared, generous servings....incredible. The service is attentive and appropriately German (efficient, sober). I can't wait to go back. Don't miss this place if you're in town!

A perfect place to take your loved one out. Allows you to hold deep conversations while sipping hot coffee and sumptuous cakes or pastries. Service is uniquely friendly and upright at the same time. Located at the corner of the Theater makes it quite central....Rates are quite reasonable for the combination of service, quality and location.

We have read about this caffe on tripadvisor, but the reviews have not succeeded. this caffe is so beautiful and elegant. eating is great and excellent. we had breakfast. the portions were very generous, the brot was beautiful and fresh and all...big the waitress was friendly and service fast.

I liked the atmosphere of the place. On a Sunday afternoon a lot of people (mostly seniors) use to sit in this cafe chatting or just watching other people. Honestly, I don't really like german patisserie, the cakes are just too sweet to my taste...so I'll just say that I liked the cappuccino.

Very popular café near the Braunschweig city centre with an unbeaten selection of cakes and breakfast for reasonable pricing. Large windows with friendly views on the old theatre and the surrounding parks; especially nice for outside seating in the summer.
