The Vermont Country Deli - Brattleboro

Had a most amazing sandwich with the best honey I ever tasted .staff is friendly and helpful. my only complaint is my cookie was too small (the last bit is a sweat, please see her photo)

Opened at 8 o'clock, perfect for us, some food for the road (although the hot foods were not yet available, there were deli options. they heated up the samosas we picked up. I had the bark cabbage, carrot, celery filling, it was delicious, my friend chose the bun.) full line of desserts. we also bought a lemon tart, apple tart, molasses cookie and some jam, all super! there are coffee,- sirup,- jam and wine options. very friendly service. parking space looked limited, only in front (we went over from their market parking lot)

We stopped here on our way up to Jay Peak and had a tasty lunch! There’s a great sandwich and pastry selection, all fresh-made.

This place is a must stop on every trip I make to and from Vermont. I had a dinner planned and still picked up a Vermont veggie to have for lunch the next day. Their Mac n cheese is wonderful, and I love the take and bake option! I don't know how new it is because I didn't come up much in covid. Amazing. Eat everything there! (Just maybe not all at once). Something for everyone.

An absolute jewel! we have the opportunity to visit based on the many good reviews and we were so happy that we did it! we got the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and cheese (5/5) and the vermonte apple cake. they can not go wrong with this place that deli is welcome and they will go with a full bauch! note: they can sit on the picnic tables next door on the market!
