The best seating is by the windows, where you can enjoy views of the nearby river and waterfall. The menu, printed on recycled paper and adorned with hand-drawn illustrations of the surrounding hills and rivers, offered a delightful array of flavors. I began my culinary adventure with a refreshing sip of the Green Goddess, a colorful blend of fresh green vegetable and fruit juice that was as invigorating as a morning hike in the Vermont woods. For my main dish, I couldn't resist the Kale Artichoke Dip, a delightful mix of kale and artichoke topped with Brazil nut parmesan, baked to perfection, and served with house-made raw flax crackers and veggies that captured the essence of the region's lush farms. It was a dish so light and refreshing that it could easily rival a swim in the nearby watering holes. However, the true highlight of the meal was the Golden Goddess—a frozen smoothie lovingly crafted from Vermont ingredients, blended into a dream-like concoction of mango, turmeric, black pepper, ginger, vanilla, dates, ice, and mylk. The staff, radiating warm Vermont hospitality and genuine kindness, added to the café's inviting charm. They moved gracefully around the space, ensuring that every guest felt like they were enjoying a meal in a friend’s cozy Vermont home. As I departed Superfresh Organic Cafe, I felt I had truly experienced the heart and soul of Brattleboro on my plate. I can't believe I almost overlooked this place! While it may not look like much from the outside, trust me, you definitely want to step inside for some incredibly delicious vegan food. I tried the mushroom cashew cheese pizza and the mocha pie, and they were both outstanding! They also offer a variety of drinks, so you can choose whatever you like. The walls are adorned with beautiful local artwork and there are crystals and other items available for purchase. I really should have taken pictures of the food, but I was too busy enjoying it to even think about that. Instead, I captured some photos of the artwork and crystals. Don't miss out on this gem—you'll be glad you did, and your body and mind will thank you. Plus, the staff is exceptionally friendly!
