Top Notch dining experience! we have arranged a visit from my mother in the law and brought her to the wonderful dinner! we started with the Charcuterie board that had 3 different cheese, and one included some local honey that was excellent. I ordered filet migon, which was excellent... just as ordered cooked and melted in my mouth. my mother-in-law got the crabcake she said were also excellent. my man ordered the Cajun-Steak, who had a dare and at the first sight he was not sure, but he said it was also excellent. the sides were as good. mushroom risotto, lyonasse kartoffeln and our favorite were the fried spits. the next day we had enough hours to lunch. service was exceptional ... they rent and train the right people to provide 5 stars restaurant service.
This was our first time in the cotton calf kitchen and I must say that I was not impressed with eating. I am a great foodie and frequent other steak houses in the surrounding areas, so when I saw the great reviews for cotton calf, I had to try. for the price they charge it should be phenomenal, but I thought it was just okay. my man and I split a ripp and it was not tender, and tasted more like a generika. we got fried green tomaten as an appetizer, and I didn't know that they loaded with marinara sauce on top, honestly taken away from fried green tomaten taste. in my opinion, they should not cover a court in the sauce so that it tastes good. the menu has not said that they were loaded with cheese and speck, so they think that when they think it is a healthier side element. even if they have to cover a supplement with beats, they definitely don't know how it tastes good alone or with minimal hits. the ambiente and the waiters were great! but in my opinion, I would rather go somewhere else that is not only cheaper, but has melted in their mouthful eating.
It took forever to get our meals and my steak was ordered medium well and came out medium and medium rare in the center. When u asked the waitress if it looked medium well to her she said it’s just whatever you think.
We ordered the duck confit rolls, wedge salad, filet, ribeye, brussel sprouts, and mushrooms. Everything was right on point and delicious. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was pleasant and relaxing. We love the management there and the kitchen staff is wonderful.
