I thought he was just a random patron, but as the night went on, I realized he was either the owner or someone familiar with the entertainers. All three performers were fantastic and accommodated requests really well. The female singer had an amazing voice; I loved how she would sometimes just start playing whatever she felt like. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and even the bartenders contributed to the fun atmosphere by dancing and singing along. Despite it being a slower night with only a few tables occupied, we really enjoyed ourselves!
So much fun. We visited for Valentine's Day and this was the most fun we have ever had. The guys that play the pianos ass just amazing. We tried to stump them with songs we requested and we couldn't. We will be back to Branson but even sooner now because of this place!!!
I don't recall their names, but one of the older musicians, who had a laid-back hippie vibe, was an exceptional talent with a fantastic voice. While he might not have had a vibrant personality, I could listen to him play for hours. Another older player was also a skilled musician with a decent voice. He had a snarky sense of humor and kept the audience entertained with one-liners. The younger performer was good, and his enthusiasm made up for his less-than-stellar singing voice. Most of the show consisted of audience requests, and a drummer joined in for a couple of songs that seemed to be rehearsed. Tips accompany song requests, and as expected, the larger the tip, the quicker they rush to play your song. It appeared that most patrons were tipping in $1s and $5s. I submitted a request for two songs with a $10 tip, and they played them almost immediately. I’d rate the show as PG-13, primarily for the sexual innuendos and suggestive comments, though there were a few swears. As others have noted, you’ll enjoy yourself as much as you choose to. The musicians do a great job of encouraging audience participation and even pulled some unsuspecting guests onto the stage. We sang, clapped, and laughed throughout the evening. By 9:00 PM, the bar was nearly full, and when we left at 10:30 PM, it was standing room only. The venue is non-smoking inside, but there are several tables just outside for smokers who want a quick break while still enjoying the music. The food menu features standard bar fare like hamburgers, pizza, and nachos. We tried the chips and queso, which wasn’t impressive. The chips were crisp and salty, but the queso tasted like something from a high school basketball game. My wife ordered a White Russian, while I went for three domestic beers in bottles. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, though he did forget about our chips and queso for a few minutes. After we reminded him, they arrived quickly. Our total bill came to $35, including a generous tip, making for a very enjoyable night out for $55. We will definitely return in the future.
We had a lot of fun on a Wednesday night in July 2012. The music starts at 8 and I think there was a $6 cover charge, maybe starting at 9 but we got in before that and stayed until about midnight. They had drink specials every night and Wed night was a $2 beer in a tall glass. It may have been Miller Lite (not sure as I did not have any). It was NON smoking, which made it so so very nice. There are tables/seats outside so people went outside with their drinks and smoked and it didn't seem to be too much of a hustle for them. It's a typical piano bar YOU as a customer make it as much or as little fun as you want. The performers seemed to have a good understanding of crowds and tailored songs, comments, etc. to fit the audience. On a night we went, they kept it pretty clean but still a lot of fun. The two male players were really good. The girl player was just okay but she added a variety to the male duo. Waitress was attentative and came back to our table just at the right timing (not too often). It did take a while for her to bring a drink. There is a full bar so you can also get up and get your drinks, too. The main player managed the amp and kept the volume at a pleasantly loud level. It seemed like there were no kids allowed (in Texas, many bars let parents bring kids, even little kids). By 10:30 or 11, all the seats on the main floor were full (and again, it was a Wed night). They also had seats upstairs with a balcony overlooking downstairs (this part did not fill up when we were there). The food menu is limited but it's a bar. It had about a dozen items, such as chips and salsa, burger, and a fried shrimp plate. We had a burger nothing fancy but was not bad. My husband and I were there for about 3.5 hours, had a burger, one margarita (tasted watered down), one bottled beer and several nightly special beer, and our total tab was $28! We are in Branson for a few more nights so we may check it out again on a Sat night! We've been to better ones before but again, if you don't have fun at a piano bar, it's your own fault! Go there, join the crowd, and have fun!
We had the best time ever! We had a fantastic evening at Ernie Biggs in Branson, MO, on Saturday, March 18, with a group of nine. The staff did an excellent job of keeping our drinks coming, and the food we ordered was delicious. The cocktails were expertly mixed. The entertainers were incredible and engaged the audience with their music, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone. We've also visited the location in Wichita, KS, but this one is definitely superior. The entertainers enhanced the night, even featuring a special performance by a guest singer. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot to all adults visiting Branson or anyone looking for a fun night out to relax and have a good time. It’s absolutely a five-star venue!
