9 East Hibachi Asian Kitchen - Branford

I made a reservation for hibachi on Sunday at 6:00 PM. I was under the impression they closed at 11:00 PM, so when it was getting late and we had not been served our food by 9:00 PM, I started to worry. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were informed that hibachi was no longer available because they closed at 10:00 PM and the kitchen closed at 9:30 PM. However, we finally received our food at 9:40 PM. When the server came to check if we needed boxes, we found that the soup was cold. It was a very disappointing first experience.

Yesterday, we made a reservation for the hibachi grill at a restaurant. We were seated at the grill with high seats, but we needed a high chair for our baby. Unfortunately, there was no space for a high chair at this particular grill. We asked the manager/owner if he could move us to a different grill with regular seating so we could use the high chair, but he gave a rude response and refused to accommodate us. The service was poor, the meal felt rushed, the grill cook was not engaging, and the steak was overcooked. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. We will instead be dining at Saki Mura from now on.

This is definitely one of my favorite Hibachi restaurants near the CT beach. You can't go wrong with any of the options and the chefs do a fantastic job to make it a memorable experience.

This was our first time that we could make a Hibachi grill in the usa; the service was amazing here and also its extensive menu! the cook made a great work for us and kept us entertained. the food was delicious and let us come back soon.

Sat in for Hibachi Early Dinner for 2. Got 2 bottles of Coconut Saki total bill was $98 before tax n tip. The chef was friendly and listened. The wait staff on the other hand could have been more attentive after the hibachi chef was done.
