Stonewood Grill Tavern Brandon

Melissa, our waitress, was the highlight of our experience at Stonewood tonight. She was attentive, patient, and friendly. I ordered the French dip sandwich, but unfortunately, it was bland and tasteless. Melissa noticed that I didn't eat it and promptly took it back to the kitchen and removed it from our order. My husband ordered the fish and also found it to be bland and underseasoned. This was the most disappointing dining experience we've had at Stonewood, and we must say we were very disappointed. I usually leave glowing reviews on OpenTable, so this is my first and only negative feedback. Perhaps there has been a change in the kitchen staff? We hope you can improve.

We had reservations for 4:30. The music playing overhead was quite loud. Our server was attentive at the beginning, but as the restaurant got busier, we had to wait longer for her attention. I asked for a recommendation between two steaks and when I decided on medium, it came out overcooked and tough. The server apologized and took it back to the kitchen. The manager also apologized when they came by. By the time it came back, the rest of my party had already finished their meals. The steak was cooked correctly this time, but it wasn't as tender as described on the menu. As a gesture of goodwill, our waitress brought me a crème brûlée, even though it isn't my favorite dessert. It would have been nice if she had asked us what dessert we prefer for a complimentary one. When we left at 6:30, the restaurant was packed and very noisy. The rest of my party enjoyed their meals, but not enough to warrant a return visit.

Jeremy was the server! he was very friendly and often checked for us. blue cheese chips are amazing. lachs was too smokey for me, but everything else was great.

Awful experience last night. Our meal ticket was lost by the kitchen resulting in our food taking over 80 min to be served only after complaining to the manager. The lettuce on my burger eventually wilted from sitting too long under the heat lamp.

This is our beloved neighborhood go to spot to escape the kids and enjoy drinks and great food.
