Mama's Soul Food - Brandon

It is hard to find good soul food in this area, but they nailed it! The portions are huge and the food so so delicious. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We’ll be back for more!

The food was amazing I chicken and pork chops dropped fresh. Flavored and delicious.

The server is very condescending, I went there about a year ago and saw the same behavior in him but, I gave him a pass that day because it was busy, I thought that he was overwhelmed. Another bad experience same guys same attitude.Not many customers. Who wants BEEF GRAVY on SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS… I ordered this same plate ordering on the Uber App I would request Not to give BEEF GRAVY… That didn’t happen. Then the rice that comes with The SMOTHERED PORK CHOP DINNER was SATURATED with BEEF GRAVY, it was like eating RICE SOUP. This has happened several times. The COLLARD GREENS ARE HORRIBLE AND CORNBREAD IS HORRIBLE, what happened to THE REAL CORNBREAD.I’m done. This food is DEFINITELY NOT MAMAS SOULFOOD, stop embarrassing our ancestors….. Do The Right Thing. Represent the NAME of a the BUSINESS. the Menu is okay but the Chef is CUTTING CORNERS. Get a REAL SOUL FOOD CHEF . Your making the . People will ALWAYS COME. Care about your reputation! Those that are saying that the food is great, I’m sorry they don’t know what mammas SOUL FOOD was back in the day .

LET ME FIRST START OFF BY SAYING, I ALWAYS LOVE TO SUPPORT BLACK BUSINESSES, BUT WHEN I TELL YOU I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS RESTAURANT. MY MAN AND I WERE DRIVING AND NOTICED THE PLACE. I WENT TO THE BATHROOM TO WASH MY HANDS BEFORE I ATE, AND THE DOOR KNOB WAS BROKE, ON THE DOOR IT SAYS KNOCK BEFORE GOING IN. I GOT COLLARD GREENS, MAC AND CHEESE, RICE WITH GRAVY, OXTAILS, AND CORN BREAD. HE GOT MAC AND CHEESE, RICE WITH GRAVY, BAKED CHICKEN, AND CABBAGE. THE FOOD LOOKED GOOD, EVEN TOOK A PICTURE. THE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING AND TOO EXPENSIVE. I ATE A FEW BITES AND WANTED TO VOMIT. MY MAN POLITELY ATE WHAT HE COULD, AND POLITELY THREW $45 OF HIS HARD EARNED MONEY IN THE TRASH, WE ENDED UP GOING TO POPEYES, ON OUR WAY THERE HIS STOMACH STARTED BUBBLING, WE GOT HOME AND HE HAD TO GO STRAIGHT TO THE RESTROOM. I DON’T KNOW WHO TOLD THE OWNER THEY CAN COOK AND TO START A BUSINESS, BUT SOMEONE LIED! IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE A 0 STARS I WOULD. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK,

Lookie here! This spot made me shed some tears !!!! Reminded me of my home family atmosphere in Louisiana soo much!! The southern style cooked meals, the aroma, the jazz music, the outside seating....it's a fantastic family experience!
