The chicken was tender and tasty. The salad was fresh in a generous plate of cottage cheese. I had a good lunch! The reds of us agreed that this is a better choice than the other Mediterranean restaurants in the area.I highly recommend this place, check it out! I have been to this restaurant several times before before. I think that management has changed as the food is different. The food I have had in the past was amazing Every bite was an experience in flavor. Each part of the dinner complemented the otherNow - it was ok. Kind of Bland and the food was just put together Little flavour for big money
Try their beef or chicken burgers. Amazing. Great price 9.95 for a combo with fries and a drink and maybe the best burger in Toronto. Owner is also a wonderful guy. Will def be back.
I have been aware of this restaurant for years and regret not trying it sooner. Every dish on the menu is excellent. Personally, I highly recommend the steak poutine.
My husband and I came here for dinner because I was craving for a good deep-fried calamari. We used to come here quite a bit and knew that the food was always gonna be good, but was dissatisfied this time around. No wonder it was dead for a Friday dinner unlike before. When we walked in we were greeted by the nice and friendly owner. Then as we sat down I could smell that the vents are not being washed daily or regularly (I used to work as a cook before). The restaurant smell like stale grease and that's when we realized that the owner is different. I used the washroom and it was dirty. I ordered the calamari and my husband got the chicken souvlaki. And 'oh boy weren't we surprised after we got them. The calamari are the big ring ones that you can get frozen cheap at any grocery store unlike the "Greek calamari" (smaller and more flavorful)--- the batter used was very salty and it was soggy not crispy at all! Let me compare it to how it used to be--- lemony flavor with "real Mediterranean spices" with perfect crisps and nice and tender to bite. I got it with Greek salad--the usual ingredients but was again shocked that the dressing was reddish? Obviously not what is supposed to be! Where is the lemon, garlic, olive oil and oregano???? The pita bread that we got was nice and warm but then again it came with tsatziki that was runny and missing with "Greek flavor"! My husband's chicken souvlaki plate was not so bad, the chicken tenderloin was cooked well, but then again where is the flavor? Before it was big chunks of chicken breast that was well marinated, seasoned and grilled to perfection, ***not anymore! And the rice that came with our dinner plates was soggy and the potatoes were also bland! My calamari was almost $24 and my husband's souvlaki was almost $16 so it was a total of $45 plus tips! We don't mind paying,if we enjoy our meal, but for that quality I don't think we will ever go back! We are sad that a used to be "so good" restaurant turned into this. The empty tables are a good sign that the food and the ambiance has gone down. It is now a totally different restaurant with the same name....:(:(:(
