Lone Star Texas Grill -  Brampton,

Lone Star is one of my favourite go to places when I’m really hungry. Every time I come here I want to literally try everything but I always end up going with dos fajitas – chicken or sometimes chicken steak. You can pick some sides for extra and I absolutely LOVE the skillet mushrooms. I’m not even a fan of mushrooms but these are the best mushrooms I’ve ever had. I even try to recreate them at home by sautéing button mushrooms in garlic for a long period of time that’s how much I love them. You get fresh tortilla chips with salsa (unlimited) I usually finish the whole bowl before I get my meal it’s so good fresh. I find the service really polite and quick too. I usually go to the Oakville location but this location is great because I don’t find it as busy as Oakville during peak hours.

Saturday night (over Christmas holidays)<br/ Party of 4<br/ <br/ Great fajitas and steak. If the name hasn 't tipped you off it 's a 'southern- Tex-mex ' theme with country music playing and servers in cowboy boots.<br/ It can get loud, we didn 't mind. <br/ The young server we had was very attentive and we didn 't even have to ask for pop or chips and salsa refills. She was the best server I 've had at Lone star in a long time (but service is usually great anyway)<br/ They changed their salsa recipe? I liked it better before, it 's not terrible, just not as good. Mesquite gives the grilled meats a nice smokey flavor.

Can't Complain (well maybe just a little). I've been to the Brampton location a few times now and have yet to find a meal I wasn't satisfied with. The ribs were probably my favourite. Chicken fried steak (aka country fried steak) was tasty although the white gravy doesn't resemble the authentic southern artery constricting goop served in the US (maybe that's a good thing). Our server is a regular for the people that I went with and the service provided is exemplary, but all the other servers seemed to be doing a good job as well. They seem to provide reasonable value for most of their dishes, but the growing couponing trend may signal that they are under excessive competitive pressure. Hopefully that won't affect the quality of the meals.<br/ One complaint though is that they seemed to have gone off the rails on their selection of liquors. They've dropped some categories altogether and dropped numerous top shelf labels. It's Canada for Pete's sake have some CC whiskey on hand. It's a Texas themed restaurant have a few good tequilas.<br/ <br/ Overall though, a good choice for the area.

Great Food! We were more than pleased with the service and food. The waitress served our table of 5 quickly. We ordered the Nachos as our app and it was YUMMY! We did the group fajita meal and it was also delicious.
