The Braidwood Bakery

The staff at this restaurant is extremely friendly and the store is clean and well-maintained. I had originally intended to try the vegan sausage roll but it was out of stock, so I opted for the veggie pie instead (which was also vegan) and was pleasantly surprised! The filling was reminiscent of a Sunday roast with a diverse selection of vegetables, not just the usual frozen peas and carrots. The pastry was also delicious. I highly recommend trying this dish!

There is a clearly marked vegan option on the menu, the vegan sausage roll, which was delicious. I inquired about other vegan options and was told that the Apple turnover was also vegan, although I did not try it.

Checked this place out today and the sausage roll is now labeled as vegan on the menu not the veggie pie. They didn't have any so I didn't check whether those were actually vegan or not. Vegan sausage roll was decent with a faux sausage filling (not just a potato and pea/corn filling like you sometimes see) not amazing, but you can't really go wrong at $3.5 and a lot more than you'll find in other places.

This place has a vegetable pie on the menu (not marked anywhere as vegan), because I saw on here they have a vegan option so I was bold enough to ask about it. The first guy I spoke to had NO idea what I was talking about and was jus being confusing and unhelpful/contradictory. So I spoke to another worker who got out the ingredients book for me and it looked (to me) like the pie was vegan, so I got it. Recommend confirming when you go there, just in case they change the ingredients.

I was delighted to discover a bakery that offers vegan pies, rolls, and coffee. The service was friendly and they even had a restroom available.
