We went to this restaurant for our anniversary, which was our first meal out since lockdown. It was an absolutely fantastic experience from the beginning to the end! The service was excellent and it was a nice touch to have the chef come out halfway through our meal to check if everything was to our liking. The starters were fresh and delicious. We shared 3 curries (and even took some home) and each one was flavorful with succulent chicken. The garlic naan was especially amazing! It was absolutely incredible. The only downside was that I couldn't finish it all because my stomach wasn't big enough, but they kindly boxed it up for us to take home. We have visited this restaurant a few times now and it never fails to impress us. I highly recommend it.
I ordered food through Just Eat and unfortunately, I have to say that the food was awful. I ordered two grilled peri chicken dishes, but they did not taste fresh and seemed to be a few days old. The taste was off and I had to throw them away. The Samosa chaat was soaked in sauces and although we managed to eat it, it wasn't very enjoyable. The mixed grill meat was just as bad as the chicken and ended up in the bin as well. This is not the kind of meal one expects after being hungry all day. Even though we ordered early to avoid the iftari rush, we were disappointed to receive old and bad-tasting meat. This experience has completely turned me off from ordering from this restaurant again.
Why I go back The food is excellent, great quality curries with fresh chapatis and superb large naan breads. This is not a town centre (tourist) restaurant and more of a local establishment, so you get good honest authentic food, friendly service and all at a reasonable price. No table cloths and only paper napkins so no frills here. Extensive menu and I just have to remember what i’ve had recently so choose a different option each visit so I get to go through all my favourites. The same family have owned the restaurant since we started to go to it in the early 90s. It has been through a few refurbishments over this time and each one has improved it. It is not licensed, but I think water goes well with the food (good selection of soft drinks are available) or if you really want you can take your own alcohol in.
Amazing food here, came here by chance with the family from Birmingham and I have to say it’s up there with the best in Bradford been couple times with family to Bradford but you can’t beat this place when it comes to amazing starters and desi traditional curries topped off with very friendly and helpful staff would highly recommend
