Contribuiți la feedbackLocation: at the four seasons Kyoto Ambiance: modern fusion not totally like a brasserie except for the red table linen. It's open to the lounge overlooking a 100 year old Japanese garden. And it has a fire place. Host: nice and accommodating. Service: great despite a bit of language barrier. Food: the menu has mostly French dishes with a Japanese section. I tried the French dishes, they were all delicious; including, the salad, the burrata, the truffle pasta, and dessert. Their special cheesecake is a must, it's fluffy, light, and full of flavor. Price: expensive
Really impressed with breakfast and dinner in this clean, staffed well with smiling and pleasant assistants who couldnt do enough. Dinner I chose the black pud, rosti and perfectly poached egg, set me up nicely for perhaps the tastiest breast of duck I have eaten. Cooked slightly rare which kept the flavour it was succulent and set out perfectly, well done chef. Pud was the Madagascar Vanilla (is there anything else) cheesecake, nice but nothing to write home about. However, the duck did it for me, an outstanding meal, think it came to about £26 for the three courses which doesnt seem bad to me. Breakfast was superb, nicely cooked and laid out, it hadnt stood for ages as we find in some places, the food was also presented nicely in the hot trays, laid out with care and that made a difference, again, well done chefs and the team supporting them,,,,
The food was good but it took 50 mins before we were served and over an hour to get starters and then another 45mins to get mains. we were patient but it was a ridiculous wait!! we were given no explanation at all and other diners were having the same experience. wouldn't go again
Good food and pleasant staff pleasant décor and not to large restaurant with in the main bar area reasonable priced for this standard
We rang to make a booking for the Restaurant and we told we didn't need to make a booking because the restaurant was not busy, just to come down when we are ready. So at approximately 7.50pm we arrived at the restaurant, were seated, given three menus and was told they would bring another as there were four of us. The other menu did not arrive. Then we sat for 30 mins and was totally ignored by ALL members of restaurant staff!!! So we left and went to a Sizzling Pub instead were the service was fantastic. Absolutely appalling would definitely not recommend their restaurant other than that the hotel passed without a hitch.
