Wimpy's Diner

Breakfast was great. Well cooked breakfast with friendly staff. Eggs benny filling and delicious. Pancakes with fruit surprisingly great.

There are some regulars who meet here every Sunday morning at 8AM for breakfast. Once in a while I join them but it is almost a 2 hour drive to get there. Anyway this particular restaurant is very good. The main gal serves us very well and keeps the coffee flowing. I had a BLT this time and it was chocker block full of bacon, along with tomato, lettuce and mayo. It was held together with two wooden stakes and was so big, I hardly got my mouth around it. There was a side order of nice and creamy cole slaw. The toast for the sandwich was slightly overcooked but was OK. All for under $10.00. Due to the distance I have only been there 3 times so far, but it's worth the trip to have breakfast and see dear friends as well. I will go again.

We ate here for dinner, 3 people, $40. I had the all day breakfast, one of the kids had a caesar wrap and the other had poutine. The meals were typical diner fare, large portions, decent quality. Nothing awesome, but filling and what you should expect from a diner. The staff were quite pleasant and it didn't take too long to for service. Would stop here again.

Went for a nice family breakfast a couple days ago, on Sunday morning.... If we ordered anything complicated I am pretty sure we would still be waiting.I really didn't understand why the service was so slow, my niece ordered a grilled cheese and it still took 30 minutes to arrive.However, the food was good Wimpy's diner food, I enjoyed my Eggs Benedict and the others enjoyed their food too.On a side note, there was this creepy looking old guy in shorts and a gray t-shirt wandering around the restaurant, he looked to be helping out, he may have been the owner or a manager, but he looked like an unwashed homeless guy.... IMO if you are helping out, especially in a restaurant you should look like you belong there and had a shower in the past few weeks.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the New south west style burger. Patty, bacon, fried onions, hot peppers & chipotle sauce...thinking this would be good....it was terrible, Pickles were too strong with vinegar, chipotle sauce had no flavour, burger was burnt as was the bun which I could not even cut through. I removed the bun from the burger in the hopes or salvaging some of my meal.. Removed the hot peppers and ate them separate, ate the bacon separate and then ate the rest of the burnt, tasteless burger. I had ordered an order of Onion rings to go with my meal, they were also grossly overcooked and hard. My husband had the Club with coldslaw....a much better choice than mine. Bottom line is I will NEVER eat at a Wimpey's again as prior to doing reviews on trip advisor I had had a bad experience witht he St. Catharines Location as well...I whought I would give them another try...huge mistake!
