Try the Connecticut lobster roll with hot butter... so much lobster in a sandwich. Pop, bottled water, tea and beer/wine also available for purchase. Friendly service!
Listen up northerners, missing the seafood you had when you were up north, well this is the place. Jim, the owner and chef has a hidden treasure. First time visiting and it is a one stop shopping for all your cravings. The list starts with their scrumptious clam chowder.Lobster rolls, whole bellied fried clams, stuffed quahogs and crab cakes are just a number of items available. There is also a fresh array of seafood in their market. Try eating in you will not regret it, Billy the chef, makes delicious, mouthwatering baskets. Got to try! I definitely recommend to family and friends.
I have to say…. I’m hooked! Happened upon the Lobster Pound today and I am so glad I did. So many fresh, delicious choices! I decided on a crab cake sandwich… oh my was it amazing. Great flavors, lots of crab, great homemade sauce and nice bun! I also tried the white clam chowder amazing! And I loved the special side salad… shredded veggies with craisins in a poppyseed dressing! So delicious!!! Friendly staff. Cute outdoor tables. I think I have found my new favorite place to eat. Tuesdays their lobster rolls (made hot or cold) are $3 off! I also saw someone with the grouper sandwich… it looked fantastic. And so did the fish tacos. I’m short, it’s my new favorite and I can’t wait to go back.
My mom and I were visiting Sarasota for Memorial Day weekend. We stopped in and had lunch there Saturday morning. Kelly and her husband were so sweet. We ordered a lobster roll with warm butter, then the chowder, and fried grouper. The lobster roll was definitely meeting, I just think it could have used a bit more seasoning or flavoring to it. The grouper was very fresh and it had a nice batter on it. The chowder it was so tasty and creamy. They gave me a sample of the lobster bisque but I prefer the chowder over that. Kelly was so sweet that she gave us a slice of key lime pie on the house as we were sharing our experiences with customers as they walked by. The pie was the bomb!! I would say the meal was on the pricey side for it to not be a sit down restaurant. Including a tip we spent $63. It's a seafood market. You either order food for takeout or sit outside at the outdoor tables that face the parking lot. I would return again if in the area.
Hands down THE best lobster rolls we have ever had. I had a giant New England and she had a smaller Connecticut Sytle. Both are freakin' amazing!!! Friendly people, great service, and perfect atmosphere for a good bite! Worth every penny!!!!!!!
