Contribuiți la feedbackWe stayed at the Patterson kaye resort and decided to make reservations for dinner Saturday night. the place was pretty much empty so we did not need a reservation. Service was good and the food was tasty. We wanted an inexpensive meal, so we ordered from the casual menu part, as the dinner menu was pricey. The food was good, but the servings were small.
This is our first time here but not our last. We noticed that some visitors complained about the length of wait. We did not find that at all and people should realize that this is not a fast food restaurant but casual dining. The servers are friendly and attentive without being bothersome. The portions are generous and the food delicious. We will return again.
This restaurant is now called Season's. We have been here many times over the past few years and there had been a lot of changes and inconsistent experiences. They have a new chef and a new menu so we thought we would try it again. We had a great dining experience. We were a table of 2 couples on a Tuesday evening for dinner. We sat inside in the bar area. There was hardly any guests there. Server was obviously a bit inexperienced but worked hard and did an adequate job. All of the food was great. We had appetizers of calamari, caesar salad and bruschetta, entrees of seafood linguine alfredo, thai shrimp on vermiceli and a pasta special and they offered 3 deserts of the day so we ordered 1 of each and shared them all. We all agreed that everything was great. Fresh, cooked perfectly and nicely presented. We had a good bottle of wine from their good selection. The menu is broad and the prices are fair. I would recommend dining here. They have a nice patio and beautiful inside dining room.
My husband and I went to Memories for brunch; we were seated at a table that didn't have cutlery or salt and pepper, we had to approach the server to request the items. The buffet had one chef slicing the roast beef and making omelettes. There were three people ahead of us waiting for their omelet to be cooked, by the time we were served the roast beef our other buffet items were cold. I asked for my beef medium-rare, the slices were either very rare or you could have an outside piece which was over-cooked. The only gluten-free item on the buffet was soup.A very over-priced buffet and disappointing experience; as locals we certainly will not return.
Muskoka magic? As the last review claimed, who had to be a friend of the owner because the only thing magical about this place is the disappearance act of proper management. I came here with my girlfriend for a romantic night out... Uhm, egg on my face. The music playing in the background was some classic rock station and completely destroyed any ambiance that it had. How about a little smooth jazz or something soft? When we received our food, well let's just say it was horrific, overcooked, then returned to be under-cooked so we just payed and left... Stupid on our part. The menu looked like something out of a sports pub. I was extremely disappointed to learn that the previous chef left, I only returned to eat from the previous chef's menu, who was from Rebecca's. I learned he was gone and now I don't know what's going on. (no intention to rhyme) I can't even describe the experience as there was just so many things wrong. From poor service, underwhelming food with an energy of confusion that haunts the place. Overall, from the poorly cooked meal and the awful choices to pick from, the ruined ambiance from Lynard Skynard playing in the background and the wait-staff that were clueless or didn't seem to care at all...Do not eat here. Maybe the resort is better and you could get something from MacDonald's not too far from the resort. Brutal! We will never return.
