I absolutely love this place! One of my favorite things in Bozeman for sure, and it’s super reasonably priced. These little pork buns are to die for!
Ramens pork, vegetable and chicken) were really underwhelming, lacking any sort of umami flavor. There also wasn't much in the way of added vegetables, so it was kind of just disappointing noodles. Had to add soy sauce and chili oil to get it anywhere worth eating :
I was really looking forward to some Japanese food during this rainy evening. The place has a nice layout and decorations, and the service was good. Unfortunately, the food is not close to the Japanese style I'm used to. Pork ramen was sweet for my taste. It's very similar to a Filipino entree and would've partnered well with rice. Okonomiyaki is waffle style so it's a bit hard to bite into. Mochi donut was soft inside and golden fried outside. Unsure if it's meant to taste grainy inside. I thought cooked mochi is supposed to taste smooth. I liked the Agedashi. It was nice and crispy on all sides.Be advised that if you sit by the bar, your clothes will smell like the kitchen. Also, the music was a bit too loud, unless that's the vibe the restaurant is going for.Interesting concept for Bozeman, but not my cup of tea.
We stopped in on a Tuesday evening after the farmers market to get a noodle bowl. We also tried their Brussel sprouts appetizer, which was absolutely amazing, some of the best I’ve ever had. The noodle bowl was delicious as well. They use a local artist for some of their serving ware, really nice establishment.
