Saladworks - Bowling Green

Very clean and bright little space. Everything seemed so crisp and fresh. You have a menu with standard salads, or you can design yourself from scratch. You even have individual portions of real butter for the reels if you feel more decadent.

Very friendly place; no hesitation to try a sauce before I have committed. I think it was a sweet sesame. I didn't think I would like it, but the name sounded cool. The sauce was quite layered and sturdy, so it took a second for me to take even all the flavors, but it turned out to be perfect. Not too sweet or tangie and a perfect addition to my salad. The ingredients were very fresh and the price was perfectly reasonable. But the second visit, my salad was just drowned so I couldn't enjoy much of it.

During this pandemic, the store was not crowded, so I popped in for lunch. I placed my order, a Sophie salad, then told the girl, that I would be right back as I needed to use the restroom. When I returned I paid for my salad, sat down and ate. I kept looking for the blue cheese, but there was none. As I left, I stopped by the food prep area and asked the girl if she had forgotten to put blue cheese on my salad. She said they were out of blue cheese. So, I said, “Don’t you think I should have been given a discount, like $1 off?” She responded that she was going to ask me if I wanted another kind of cheese, but I had left to use the restroom. No apology offered. This is unacceptable.

Expensive unless you order just what you want. I ordered a fresh grilled chicken salad and drink. 85 cents extra for a spoonful of extra. It was $16! It could have been a great salad if the staff cared enough. They are not friendly, act like they don't want to be there. If they had been friendly I might have gotten over the cost. I hope they all have a better day!

I had their Thai Chicken Salad. The salad was decent but I ordered their freshly grilled chicken which costs a bit more. It was sitting under their heat lamp and must have been cooked hours previously. Most of the chicken was so dried out I couldn't cut through it let alone eat it. Everything else was decent, just not good or great.
