Fricker's - Bowling Green

We had a great dining experience, and our server was very pleasant. The BBQ sauce wasn't particularly impressive, but everything else was quite good. The menu was a bit confusing, as it had a lot of information crammed in. It might have been smoother dining in a less busy area, especially being in a college town. However, the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes, and the food was enjoyable, so I would definitely consider returning.

The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the table service is excellent. However, the bar staff could improve their attentiveness. They should try to make eye contact with customers as they move around to see if anyone needs anything.

After our graduation, I was looking for a place to eat that wasn’t too busy. Unfortunately, the service we received was quite poor. There were seven of us, and the server took all our orders by hand, then read them back to us. However, my order came out wrong. We had made a specific special request, which was also incorrect. By the time they brought it back, the rest of the meals were already finished. It felt like we waited forever to be served, and the server never returned to check if we needed anything else. As for the food, it was just okay.

Great atmosphere inside, good menu. But take a cue from Wisconsin Frickers, get battered white cheese curds instead of these little squares of cheddar.

This Fricker's is really nice and clean. The food was great! The service was not good however. The waitress forgot us and returned after taking several orders that was seated after us. The wait staff all crowded at end of bar and talked and laughed loudly. The kitchen workers came out and joined servers at end of bar and loudly joined conversation. This restaurant has so much potential because of location and food. Servers and wait staff need to pay more attention to customers!
