First impression review... Ordered via Uber Eats which was surprisingly lacking. I knew I wanted fried pork chops but it just says pork chops? No food descriptions. Are they baked, fried, seared, grilled? I went to the website and still no descriptions. How do ppl know what they are ordering? Decided to take the risk. It said meal but there were no side options in the selection. There were side suggestions at the bottom for purchase. There was also a small or large option. What was small or large? The pork chops or the invisible sides? No clue what that meant so I chose large. I decided to pay for a side. I wanted sweet potatoes (yams) but it said sold out. So I got the greens. Also got the lemon pepper wings and fried shrimp.Got the food. There were two fried pork chops (great) BUT covered in gravy and onions. Not what I wanted and had no idea it came like that based on NO description. They tasted great but would still prefer without gravy (or at least gravy on the side). Sending wet fried food to be delivered is never a good idea. Surprisingly, there were sides -mac n cheese and sweet potatoes. I was glad because it said the sweet potatoes were sold out. I do wish the app let me choose my own sides for my meal. The sweet potatoes were actually really good. I didn't try the mac.The greens were...NASTY. One star off for that alone. Worse than Carolina kitchen greens. I ate a fork full and was caught off guard. After I ate a pork chop I took another fork full. Sooooooooo bad. Like take them off the menu bad. Hot sauce can't fix that. They tasted old or something. No seasoning. Maybe dirty. Idk. I couldn't figure it out. Tossed them.The fried shrimp were just OK but I have my suspicions about them being frozen shrimp. I just had some frozen shrimp yesterday that look and taste identical. I eat them all the time. They weren't giving fresh at all. If anyone eats at Ruby's those are fried shrimp. I think Me Moms might wanna try again. The sauce they provided was GOOD tho.My fiance liked the lemon pepper wings. They were a lot larger than expected and breaded. They looked good. I wish I got myself some plain ones.Overall the experience was all over the place. I debated between 2 or 3 stars. I will try again for sure. I would do the pork chops again knowing what I know now. Never trying the greens again. Shrimp are also a pass because I can get a 12 pk box from the grocery store ?. Hopefully my next try will be better. If not I will stick with good ol Rubys.

I would give this place a 5, but the guy at the front who takes you orders is pretty rude and passive aggressive. The first time I went there and ordered, it’s like he had no manners and didn’t want to be there, then the second time I went, I ordered about 3 things, and he was just rude and just had overall bad energy. The food here is bomb tho, but I got the “Lemon Pepper Honey Drizzle” chicken wings and they were not that good. Barley had any lemon pepper or honey flavor to it so it felt like I was basically eating regular fried chicken. The fish here is bomb tho. Overall I think they could do better on the service.

It was ok. I ordered the gumbo that was on the menu. The gumbo was lukewarm and slightly salty. But it was decent. I think if the temperature was hotter I would have enjoyed it more.The apple pie was better. It was average to me. Nothing amazing, nothing terrible.The owner also assists as the customer service rep. He is not the nicest guy..from his body language. While he did not have an attitude, he seemed distant from smiling and positive customer rapport.Overall it 's an OK experience. It 's a strong backup for better options of restaurants.

The best southern and seafood place I've ever been to. The portions are huge and the price is ridiculously low. I thought it would reflect in the taste, but I was highly mistakened. The food is so delicious. And you're given so many options. They easily beat out Carolina Kitchen, hands down. I'm in love.
