Miya Japanese - Bournemouth

We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful food that we were served at Mi Ya. Each dish was beautifully presented with fresh, wholesome ingredients. The salmon with black bean sauce was divine! I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

The food presentation was beautiful but the taste was lacking, with dishes arriving cold. The starters, Crispy Duck Gyoza, were slimy and over-steamed, resembling a bad chest infection. The Chef refused to accommodate plain chicken for our children in the Udon Noodles. The main courses were served at different times, with some dishes undercooked and others cold. One dish never arrived, and we were not given a refund. The service was unprofessional, with the Chef swearing at us and slamming the door as we left. The manager offered a 10% discount, which was unacceptable given the poor experience. The staff seemed scared of the Chef, who reprimanded them in front of customers for minor issues. Overall, the evening was a disappointment and I will not be returning. I recommend avoiding this restaurant and instead visiting a Japanese restaurant in Charminster for exceptional food and service.

Miya Japanese restaurant is good. The food is really nice and high quality. Only thing to consider is the service was a uninventive.

Celebrating dinner with our daughter after finishing her GCSE’s. Lovely food and staff. Very polite and welcoming. The sushi was delicious. The music was strange for the venu and menu.. however we would definitely return. Thank you.

Great interior atmosphere and food! The sushi set came in a really sweet and nice presentation. The food was quick and lovely and you see food getting made fresh by the chef there. Staff was nice and don't feel awkward going in alone too.
