Brookside Golf Club - Bourne

I ordered the house-made Bloody Mary, which featured infused bacon vodka, strips of bacon, lemon, lime, and a couple of olives. It was absolutely delicious! I usually only drink Bloody Marys while golfing or on special occasions in the morning, but it felt right to indulge here. My fiancé and I shared the Cheesy Garlic Bread appetizer, and I can't even describe how perfectly crunchy and cheesy it was! It made Domino's Cheesy Bread taste like cardboard—nothing could compare to what we had at The Bog Tavern. For the main course, my fiancé had the Cape Cod Reuben, which is essentially a classic Reuben sandwich but made with fish instead of meat. It was incredibly delicious—definitely keep your fingers crossed that it's on the menu when you visit. I opted for the Spicy Salmon Burger. I was expecting a traditional slab of salmon on the bun, but it turned out to be more like a salmon-crab cake. It surprised me at first, but it was fantastic! Next time we're in Bourne, we plan to go golfing there again and then stop by The Bog Tavern for lunch. And I'll definitely make sure to order two of those Bloody Marys before heading out to the course!

We hosted a dinner party for a graduation celebration at this restaurant, and overall, the experience was great. The food was more than satisfactory, the ambiance and views were lovely, and the service was commendable. I would certainly consider returning for any future event.

**Visit on July 8, 2023:** I felt the need to update my review after returning for a second visit the day after my initial trip. My friend and I walked into the pro shop, cheerfully greeting the staff with, "Hello again! We’re back after having a great time yesterday!" However, we were immediately confronted by the pro shop attendant, who claimed we had violated several rules the day before - such as playing more than nine holes, playing with someone who didn’t have a bag, and issues with our payment not going through. He even suggested that after our round, we had come back to chat with him, appearing oblivious to the situation. In reality, we hadn’t gone back into the clubhouse at all after our game the previous day. After some confusion, he realized he had mistaken us for someone else and apologized. On a positive note, I played better today than I did yesterday, so I’ll take that as a win. **Visit on July 7, 2023:** This isn’t an easy course; it has a lot of hills and several blind shots. The pricing is fair and comparable to other courses in the area. Some greens can be quite unforgiving. If I were a more experienced player, I likely would have had a better time, but I still rated it four stars, as my difficulties were primarily due to my own skill level. The views were fantastic, though. The first hole was a bit frustrating because, although I hit the fairway, I couldn’t locate my ball amid all the range balls littering the area.

Played Brookside today I’m a senior golfer, who is partially disabled I was welcomed by the cart person who got my Handicap flag .Later on the range the starter set us up with our playing partners we played had a really good time course was in great shape.I’m so impressed I’m trying to convince my wife I should join this club I’ve played a lot of HighEnd courses all over the place this course is right up there .Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Garbage course, priced like a quality one but runs and set up like a second hand course. Have played here many times and even had our wedding reception at, but I have never see it so bad. Took nearly 3 hours to play nine holes. Even called pro desk about course play and they didn’t care. Your better off playing Any other club than this one because they don’t know how to manage their course to set tie times right. Will probably never play here again. Rather play the base, Paul Harney, Cape Club or literally any other course. Went way down hill and not sure why but sad.
