Costa Vida - Bountiful

We visited the restaurant with a large group of 15 people, and they managed to get us through the line quite quickly, which was fortunate since we arrived before the local school lunch rush. I tried the chicken tortilla soup, and it was just okay—somewhat bland, though I didn't have the salsa with it, which might have been the reason for that. I probably won't order it again. However, the fresh tortillas were fantastic, and the cinnamon tortillas were absolutely delicious!

I experienced a 15-minute wait due to a lack of food preparation, and there was poor communication among the staff. They frequently went to the back without informing most of the patrons, which left many of us confused. Even though the restaurant was relatively empty, the tables were not clean. The food was mediocre at best. I won't be returning.

I called to place an order more than 10 minutes before closing, and the man I spoke with informed me that we couldn't order any large sizes because they were unavailable. As a result, we had to settle for small sizes. However, when we arrived to pick up our food, we noticed other customers were still coming in and were able to order large sizes without any issues. This was quite frustrating and felt like very lazy service. We were actually tempted to skip picking up our order and just reorder large versions of what we originally wanted, but we didn't want to waste the food they had already prepared because of the poor service we received. Ultimately, we felt it was a waste of money, especially considering the price difference and the fact that our food had very little meat in it. We usually have good experiences at this place, but this incident left a bad impression.

Sadly had to change my review after getting ripped off with two puny hard overcooked chicken strips in each taco we ordered, and then when we call to work it out, they treat us like trash or didn’t believe that they stiffed us on meat, basically accused us of lying, and said we had to drive back to the store and show them, a pic wasn’t good enough. Hello, we just ordered delivery for a reason. Sad to see the standards slipping there. Didn’t try to resolve in any way.

The lettuce was basically rotten and all gooey. Absolutely disgusting. For enchiladas they put about a tablespoon worth of meat on there. Not worth $10. The service was also horrible. Waited for 5 minutes to be helped inside directly in front of the staff without being greeted or acknowledged in any way with no other customers in front of me. I used to love this location, clearly has gone downhill. DO NOT Recommend!
