I've dined here multiple times, hoping to understand what my friends see in it. The beignets are dry, the French toast is surprisingly watery (I still can't figure out how that happens), and the rest of the menu is, at best, mediocre.
You can choose from an array of breakfast selections like Eggs Benedict, a Four Cheese Omelet, or opt for something more traditional such as the Cajun breakfast, featuring a hearty combination of eggs, red beans, and grits, or The Eggs Pontchartrain, which includes pan-fried trout and poached eggs topped with a tarragon-infused Béarnaise sauce. Whether you're in the mood for something Creole or simply craving a fantastic breakfast or lunch, Lucile's has you covered! And be sure to check out their daily specials for both breakfast and lunch. Additionally, Lucile's features an excellent online store where you can purchase items like their homemade ketchup and strawberry-rhubarb jam, with shipping available anywhere in the U.S.
