Jax Fish House - Boulder

One of the best spots in Boulder, don’t know what took me so long to find it. For a landlocked state such as CO, the fish is wonderfully fresh, skillfully prepared and the desserts are fantastic too. Don’t be shy of the special of the day, it’s always good, or go to happy hour and toss back some on the shell oysters for .75 a pop. Have yet to have anything that wasn’t interesting and peaked with flavor.The ambiance brings a little flavor of some bigger city that Boulder is not with its brick interior: suddenly you’re transported to a little spot back east or maybe Even Seattle. The wait staff is excellent, knowledgeable and friendly.

Love this place. Small and intimate, high quality food and service. Oyster happy hour, yay!

My wife has to come to Boulder for business periodically. I love to tag along. We always find ourselves in Jax. My wife two times, as she brought her staff before I got here. The food is always fresh and taste great. The staff, always smiling and kind make this place.

The Bartender Brad was the Bomb! All his suggestions were spot on! First time here and the Seafood was wonderful! The place was small and quaint, but the staff made it work in cranking out the kitchen and patrons out the door...

Very good food and exceptionally friendly staff. Gave awesome advice on best nosh spots in town. Highly recommended.
