Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse

Had a leisurely lunch outside by the creek. The server was very helpful in working through food options for vegan and gf. My husband I shared the Asian salad and the pan freid noodles dishes. Both were very plentiful and taste. The tea menu is the draw here for true tea drinkers. Updated from previous review on 2023-08-17

I was really let down by the vegan options. For a meal that costs over $30, the choices at afternoon tea were quite disappointing: unseasoned rice paper filled with just lettuce, a single chocolate-covered strawberry, and some tasteless rice paper. The only highlight of the meal was a scone. It was frustrating to be at a place that appeared to be vegan-friendly, only to eat barely edible food while my friends, who paid the same price, enjoyed an extravagant feast.

Tea and ambiance are great. Rice pudding was very meh

The building itself is the main highlight, but the vegan options are impressive too. I tried the curry with tofu and it was delicious! Updated from my previous review on August 3, 2022.
