Cote Jardin - Bouc-Bel-Air

You eat well, your steak is fried as you like. Service is top and good enough angels! You traitor!

Our first wee trip abroad in almost three years, we had enjoyed a meal in a cheese restaurant the previous evening, and were all in the mood for a steak! Côté Jardin was closest to our daughter’s home, and although this looks like a pleasant outdoor restaurant in warmer months, we were seated just one table away from the observation window around the large indoor barbecue grill. Three (entrecôte) steaks and one (côte d’agneau) lamb were ordered with one litre of the house red, and soon we were all in meat heaven. Our barbecue chef was fun to watch, the full restaurant kept him busy throughout, and we built up a rapport such that we took a selfie with him in the background. One crème brûlée and a couple of café gourmands for dessert completed our meal, and nothing was left on the plates. Prices are comparable with back home (in Scotland), we would heartily recommend this dining experience, plain and honest fare served in a nice atmosphere.
