Contribuiți la feedbackI usually order Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina whenever I see it on the menu, and while most versions are adequate, this is the first time it tasted like what I had in Sorrento.
It doesn’t matter why I’m there or how full my schedule is- when I’m in Boston, I always come here for a meal. The food is out of this world and the service is always top notch. They also have great Italian wine selections that you don’t see in every restaurant. There are many great food options in the North End, but Trattoria is a must!
Solid Italian food in the north end. They typically have tables available since they strive to get food out quickly, and get you out fast.
Had to find something palatable after a bruins game so we stumbled upon this place. The Veal Chop Milanese $49.99) is a big slap of fried and breaded veal chop size of my fat face. It’s very crispy, and the veggies and tomatoes balance out the greasiness. The veal is not heavily seasoned so you can taste the meat. But it does get kinda greasy and boring at the end. We also had to get a pasta dish, Mezzi Paccheri al Ragú $28.99). The ragu sauce is delicious, a little on the salty side, but filled with flavors. The rigatoni was chewy and wheaty. The appetizer Calamari Fritti has fried jalapeño in it to give it a bit of a kick, which I like a lot $16.99). The restaurant has an intimate ambiance as everything is pretty close together. Service is really fast and our server is literally Johnny on the spot. Definitely would recommend if you’re up for some late night Italian food.
Lovely place with excellent food and drink and friendly bartenders. Would be a perfect 5 stars from me if the host knew what he was doing. We had a reservation for 3 but were forced to dine at the bar because the host forgot we checked in and gave our table away. He was very rude and dismissive and treated us as though we had made a mistake when he clearly had.
