I have lived in Boston for over a decade, but never heard of this place before she mentions there is a tea room in the Boston Public Library. I believe reservation is always full, so make sure that if you find a slot or put notified option on Resy App (they use this platform for reservation.) You are instructed to go with $64 course menu with the selection of your tea of choice. I went with Copley's house tea and my Gf had a wedding mix. We personally like wedding mix as it had full and tasteful fill them with floral touch. It tastes almost like London fog that you usually in cafe, but much better! They also put menu in the old book, as the library theme suggests, which is quite cool. Then we are given salad with the start of soup in tiny cup and refreshing appetizer; the combination of Qunioa, pomergranat with sweet/sour dressing was only so fresh and appetizing in fact. Next of course, beautiful tea dishes were filled with delicious dishes from three dishes: first bowl with biss sandwiches, second with dessert and the upper one with scones with butter/cream/jam. You might think the amount of food would not be enough to fulfill your stomach, but not be deceived, we have so full after our meal! They have replaced my Gf's part with vegetarian Portobello-Pilz, Butternut Squash and cauliflower. My favorite sandwiches were Lobster Bisquette (probably the best I had this year), chicken salad, salmon and cucumbers. I'm glad we tried this place and can't wait to visit the cockroom next door if it's not busy!
You need to make reservations and come before 3pmNice place, nice decaf English Breakfast tea
The tea service rivaled our favorites in London! The seasonal soup/salad starter tastings were a nice addition to the tea towers. There were a variety of teas and the sandwiches, desserts and Scoones were all very tasteful (except the flower flower sandwich on the vegetarian dish it was really not edible). The scorpses were cured with fruit jam and lemon. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere and the decor were beautiful. Very recommended if you are in Boston!
BRIDGERTON VIBES. If you're in Boston, you need to experience it at least once. Admittedly, I am more coffee than tea person, but I did it for aesthetics. The tea and the food were great! The champagne was also a nice touch. I was also surprisingly full after eating all my fingers sandwiches, petit four, pastries and scones. The small size is deceived! They are probably refilled.
This is a place to bring someone special when you want to treat them. It's an expensive indulgence in an amazing atmosphere. You get to sit inside a beautiful room for 90 minutes enjoying some delicious scones, finger sandwiches, desserts and, of course, tea. It's elegant and delicious.
