Hennessy's - Boston

With tip bill was 185 quick service and waitress was good but after apps and dinner overall we were disappointed! 4 small steak tips and tiny fish portions on the plate left us wanting more

I was taken aback during my visit to this establishment. Calling it a restaurant or even a pub would be a disservice to both. It's more of a college bar or dive bar. The little food I tried was poorly prepared, and I encountered drunk patrons stumbling around, which unsettled my children. Additionally, I witnessed a physical altercation that made me feel unsafe with my family. It should not be listed on OpenTable. There are far better options in Boston that offer greater value and a much more enjoyable experience. I would rate it 1 out of 10 and will never return.

I arrived right when the restaurant opened, and the atmosphere was very relaxed as the neighborhood was just coming to life. The traditional Irish dishes were excellent.

Hennessy's is a bar that also serves food, and the food is fantastic! We ordered meatloaf, shepherd's pie, steak tips, and fish and chips, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Our only disappointment was the lack of dessert, but we ended our meal with coffee and Baileys Irish Cream, which hit the spot! It's not a fancy place—more of a bar than a traditional restaurant—so just keep that in mind, and you won't be disappointed during your visit!

The food options were scarce, and I wasn't prepared for the atmosphere. I had children bumping into me, and I felt uneasy watching a confrontation escalate to physical violence. I didn’t feel safe being there with my family. This place should really not be open. There are much better options in Boston that offer greater value and a better experience. I would give it a 1 out of 10. Never again.
