Contribuiți la feedbackFranchise conglomerate kills it ..... upmarket but bland.I have been back twice since the take over for Yumcha ..... sadly .... Gone is the authentic more than 3 decades of Cantonese Yumcha dining experience in this place; although served in better looking square dim sum basket (no longer round Bamboo) most are bland and more expensive. The only great thing left is that Maggie some and the long time staff are still there, for how long, we don't know.I think the Secret Kitchen group needs to revamp the kitchen not just the logo.
Good yum cha, good food, constant at relatively good prices. But if you want to have a chat, or have special needs, forget it.
First time I visited the yum cha was very good. The second time I went the food was not so good. The service was also very slow, so I have never been back. Yum Cha can be overcooked or even raw sometimes and that is what it was like on my second visit and because I complained the service deteriorated as well.
After hearing that it has changed owners we went to try it ... food was generally okay but some service staff was downright rude ... we were given a glare and a scowl by a middle aged female wait staff (can't remember her name but she was absolutely rude) when we asked for extra chilli sauce ... not that it costs an arm and a leg ... buck up on your service ... there're better places near you
We have been coming here roughly monthly for a couple of years now, we won't anymore. Since the new management has taken over the service is slow, selection is limited, food quality is low, some dishes are barely edible, and it has lost its happy vibe. Disappointing.
