Mimi's Restaurant - Boroondara

Ordered a takeaway of my usual chicken quinoa salad, for some reason this time it was different from all the other times I'd ordered it previously (lack of quinoa, no tomato, etc). Very polite staff who were more than happy to replace it and make another. The second serving was fine.

We were pleasantly surprised by our experience at Mimi's restaurant. Despite passing by it for years, we decided to finally give it a try for dinner and it did not disappoint. The restaurant manager, Wim, greeted us warmly and seated us at a cozy table. When I mentioned I was vegetarian, he provided some menu suggestions. I opted for the quinoa and herb salad, while my husband enjoyed the veggie-filled mushroom risotto. Both dishes were delicious and we are already looking forward to returning for another visit.

My partner and I went here with an entertainment voucher. We booked ahead and I'm glad we did, as it was busy. We were seated straight away and the staff were very attentive. We had the arancini balls to share, for entree. My favourite was the bolognese one, while my partner loved the mushroom and thyme. They were fantastic. <br/ <br/  For mains, I had the special, which was a trio of mushroom risotto with truffle oil, goats feta and rocket. It was perfect. Well seasoned and the risotto was perfectly cooked. The mushrooms were delicious and the goats cheese and rocket balanced the dish out perfectly. My partner had the parma. It was the appropriate size for a chicken breast and was very juicy. It was well cooked. They honoured the voucher with no problems. Was a great meal and will come again!

Mimi's gives customers the choice to dine in or take away from their connected kitchen, with the latter being our go-to option during busy midweek nights. Their pizzas are made to a high Australian standard, using fresh ingredients and a crispy crust. The pastas are also delicious and a great choice for warming up during Melbourne's cold winters. Overall, Mimi's is a beloved local spot in suburban Camberwell that is definitely worth a visit!
