Café Short Black Camberwell

Such a good latte! Smooth, high-quality, hot, and with a beautiful foamy heart.

Wondered what this would be like after the previous comments But thought I'd see for myself I've been here before when it was a cafeIt was noisy.

I have been eating at this café for several years. Some of their wait staff are so rude, I recall my last 3 visits, my girlfriend asked for water several times, til she had to go get it herself. Then on another occasion I had foil in my breakfast and hair the next. We got our meals free after. Also the waiter got my girlfriend's order wrong after repeating it at least 3times. I even confirmed it for him. The last time we visited this same waiter yanked our documents off the table to clean the table and then dropped them down crumpling them. He did not greet us at all. I then asked for a manager and wrote down my concerns and told them we will never dine there again, as they are rude. Worst experience in a café. So disgusted. Pathetic and rude staff member.

I have been to this cafe several times as I work nearby. I have only had short black coffee and I have found it better than average. The last 2 times I went however I had a female waitress that was very rude and seemed to lack any insight into the concept of service. It is a simple thing to take an order and then deliver the coffee but I was offended to the point I wouldn't go back

Having eaten or taken-away pizza from all of the wood-fired pizza places in Camberwell, Surrey Hills and Balwyn over recent years, the authentic Italian-style pizzas from Short Black in Camberwell have become my favourite! I've eaten in and ordered take-away and each time, the pizzas have been excellent. The service is friendly and co-operative and the take-away pizza was ready for collection at the time nominated. The restaurant was jam-packed on a recent Friday night, so bookings advisable. Oh, and the coffee and cakes are great for a morning or afternoon tea. Highly recommended for coffee, lunch or dinner!
