Das Inselcafe - Borkum

We went to the café in the afternoon. there were not too many guests present. we were served quickly, but waited very long for cake and pancakes. you got the impression that the staff was overwhelmed. they asked several times what we had ordered. cakes and pancakes were however very tasty, the service is need for improvement.

Because it is very centrally located, it is always well visited.You can buy directly or you take a place and you can taste cake, torte and other tasty. the cafe was ok.Since the ambiente was also appealing we liked it here. Conclusion: recommended.

I've been going after years to make vacation and enjoy good food. I love pancakes in both sweet and hearty variations and this year had to try out the island café and pancake house. When I came (about 13 o'clock), the caffe was already very well visited. when I was alone and sat down on a little two table behind a plant I was almost overlooked. as I had to wait for the card I had to watch....I noticed that the young man, who took orders and a dame, brought the dishes to table. this made me a more friendly impression than he did. I also noticed that the other guests were waiting for the orders for a long time. next to me at the plant, an antler crawled. I ordered a pott chocolate and a pancake (normally large) with berries and vanilla sauce, as well as a portion sawn for 70ct impact. of the size of this portion I had actually expected a little more...The prices for the pancakes are already relatiw high, but you can also not expect a pancake "as from home" (with me as thin as possible, rather crepe-like). he was actually quite thick, inside very soft and at the top slightly crispy, really great and also nicely dressed. my choice was of course very sweet, so I got bad at the latest after 3/4 and I really got a lot of sweet. So I made a break and continued eating after 10min.WIe said the prices for a pancake appeared to me really high first, but I got tired, so it went to order for me. I have paid together about 11 euro.The toilets are very unhappy, many doors, little space. In view of the reviews here and in the social network, I am very surprised that this is still very well visited locally!I would go again.

Despite a few customers we would have to wait long, have observed how other customers would have to wait a long time for a menu, then eat and drink, then also for the bill, staff were just polite and absolute not friendly, the most beautiful of our visit was to be out again.

The caffe has come from the inside into the years. the staff was inattentive and also unfriendly. have eaten apfelstrudel with cream and ice. did not look out of the spray can. once and never again.
