If you love steak with the minimum of meat yet loads of fat then this is the place for you. The staff must have been slapped with a trout prior to our arrival as none could even muster a fake smile. The pasta dishes were so peppery that that's all that could be tasted. Absolutely awful with service to match. AVOID.
The proprietors of our B B in an adjoining town recommended Il Garfagnino for dinner during our four night stay. It is difficult to find, but is well worth it. Most of the people appeared to be locals, which was a good sign. I had seen wild boar on the menu of some of the restaurant reviews on TripAdvisor so I decided to try it here. My wife and I started with the fried polenta and ragu, which was very rich. Our companions started with the minestrone and bean soup. One of our companions had the pork knuckle, which looked fantastic, with roasted potatoes. My wife had the lasagna and I had the wild boar with polenta. All the dishes were delicious and tasted like they had come out of grandma’s kitchen. The restaurant crew was very friendly and accommodating, especially to people who don’t speak much Italian. Prices were very reasonable. Find this place and enjoy.
Great food with care and home service.. beautiful Christmas atmosphere... a perfect lunch
Nice restaurant with very nice background music, kind person. Free parking on site. Prices a little above the average osterie/restaurants nearby. we did not find a special dish to recommend, all good on average.
