We came here with parents and sister (on sister's recommendation) on a weekday evening for dinner. The whole experience (weather, food, service) was very good and I must say this was one of many similar establishments on the square (Place du Marche).Service/Staff:We arrived at a busy time, but the waiters made an effort to squeeze us in and make us feel appreciated. They remained polite, quick and efficient during the whole evening.Food:Was pretty good, meats were well cooked and tender. Salads were well garnished. Chips were well cooked and tasty.Overall the bill came to EUR 116.80 for 4 people, for: 4 aperitifs, 5 mains (including 1 that was a shared salad), 4 coffees.
Staying nearby, we stopped in to Au Reve one evening for drinks and a quick bite to eat. We sat down outside and waited for the waiter; when he did arrive, he didn't ask if we wanted to eat and didn't offer us a menu, even for drinks, which didn't feel particularly welcoming. Although we tried to get his attention to ask about the food, it never came, and, after one drink, we decided to move on. As it was early evening, it wasn't an especially busy time, so the service did let it down.
Just popped in for a quick snack and was pleasantly surprised as the food was great. The Parmentier was scrummy and my husband had a delicious fish.
We happened in on this lovely bistro when wandering around Bordeaux. We very much enjoyed our meal which was 3 course price fixed. We had a charcuterie sandwich, poached SalmonAnd a delicious tarte tatin. If you happen to come upon it I would certainly recommend stopping in
