The Strand Hotel - Booval

Pub premise is very tired . Meals were very average & overpriced for what we had .I ordered their steak burger & it came out as a mince pattie . Another at the table had the Wagu meatballs & they were very rubbery & tough . Another had the barra which came out as pieces of crumbed fish. Would have got better at a takeaway shop for fraction of the price.

The second we walked in to the pub to go through to the dining area all the staff smiled at us in a welcoming fashion. The prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious. We'll definitely go back. Many thanks.

First being a well known steak house.. but if you can't afford the steak house prices then come to the Strand! Its a hell of a lot cheaper and the steak is cooked just as good as the steakhouses. Served with fresh chips and salad.... just yum! Well priced drinks as well and the staff are fabulous. I would really recommend any one to go there. Plenty of room to park, not far from Riverlink car parks too, and decor is nice and modern.

Decided to have our Xmas party at The Strand this year to stay local. The food is always great but the chef and staff went over and beyond to make it a great night. Food was superb and service was excellent. Fantastic value for money as always. Would recommend for lunch or dinner anytime. The coffee is good too.

It is right on the round-about of Riverstink and both roads meet. It is an old Pub painted dark Charcoal. The COFFEE is excellent. The inside is excellent. Nice and clean. Their Coffee IS BETTER than in Riverstink. Just park beside the pub. It's great if somebody wants a Drink and you just want a coffee.
