Salty Stag - Boothbay Harbor

Small portions and unremarkable food for a steep price. Since the restaurant is onsite at the resort, one is somewhat of a captive audience, so I don 't think they try hard enough. Breakfast buffet is excellent and appropriate price for the quantity and variety. Lunch was extremely overpriced for very little food fish chips was three small nuggets of overcooked fish, sour/acidic coleslaw, and a mountain of potato chips to fill the plate. Same with the fish tacos. Dinner was better, but still unremarkable for the price tag. A fantastic resort like Spruce Point deserves a better all around restaurant than this.

Casual dinner first night at Spruce Point Inn. Espresso martini was horrible. Food was good. Service good, but not speedy. Good value for a resort.

I ordered a Ceasar salad with salmon. The salmon was raw and I had to send it back twice. The waitstaff was very understanding. Even so, the food was a disappointment. It is convenient to have the restaurant on site at the resort, but next time we would probably dine off site.

Comfortable and easy with terrific service and tasty food.

Food was okay but service very mediocre manager strolled around dining room but never asked anything about food or experience. Lovely location but clearly poorly trained staff
