I2i Indian Italian Fusion - Boonton

To say this food was a bit expensive is an understatement. They charge way too much for the portions they serve. The prices have jumped upwards of 7 dollars a dish from their previous menu prices. A lunch with my husband and daughter (who ate 2 slices of pizza and a $10 order of 6 mozzarella sticks) cost us over 100 dollars without dessert. There was no alcohol and we ordered no apps aside from the sticks which were not shared, they were my daughter 's lunch. 2 Indian meals included a creme brulee cup of rice with a couple of peas on top, and a bowl of soup that I had to fish scrawny pieces of meat out of. For nearly 20 dollars for a butter chicken, and 25 for the curry lamb, we should have taken home leftovers. Instead, we had to order extra sides of rice (6 dollars each) to be able to finish our soup , which we ordered two orders of naan which were also 6 dollars each, initially to accomplish. I thought for 6 dollars I 'd be receiving a couple pieces of naan, but it was literally one piece cut into 4 's for 6 dollars. The drinks costed us 15 dollars. I was using the older menu, because their new menu only was available with a cell phone and I did not have one on me. They informed me the prices were increased, but not that they increased the prices SO DRASTICALLY. I still would have ordered, expecting a much larger portion. I very rarely write reviews, and I am not here to say the food was bad. The food was very good. But I cannot and will not recommend this establishment to my friends and family. I feel compelled to share my sticker shocking experience. We will not be returning.

The creative mind and passion that the owner of this restaurant puts into the food really shines every time. This place is an interesting take on fusion and has big things coming in its future. Everything cooked here is absolutely incredible. We love i2i! Eat here!!!

I absolutely adore this restaurant! I wish there were more Indian fusion eateries like it. The unique blend of Indian and Italian flavors here is both surprising and delightful. The combination exceeded my expectations and definitely works very well.

The atmosphere was charming, and the service was excellent. Now let's talk about the food. The dishes had rich, intricate flavors that weren't too strong. Each dish was unique and enjoyable. We absolutely adored everything we tried. While still in the restaurant, we were already recommending I2I to our friends. We had a fantastic experience and will definitely be coming back.

I don't understand the negative reviews I've read; my party of 2 did not experience any issues with our bill. The food was all fantastic and had a unique twist to it, and was served quickly. The Naanwich was flavorful and the tikka masala sauce added a nice touch to the eggplant parm. I even ordered extra sauce to dip my pizza crust in. It's a bonus that it's BYOB, so we'll bring a bottle of wine with us next time. The fusion of Indian and Italian cuisine was surprisingly delicious!
