Moby's Beach Side Retreat

Breakfast on Australia Day so pleased to someone else cooking bacon and eggs. While my guys enjoyed their mine was super greasy and the scrambled eggs were deported from the plate. Very disappointing

We arrived shortly after 2:00 on a wet and gloomy day and wanted a little hot for a late lunch. The super friendly waiter checked with the cook and he was ready to cook lunch for us, although it after lunch service. After the check menu, we realized that we were happy, their hot bar snacks offered all afternoon. We split buffalo wings, gyozas and chips. They were all delicious and although we had planned to have only a few chips, they were so good we ate the lot. We booked for dinner the same night. The restaurant was packed as we are, as apparently there were some walks, but the staff took the pressure very well and used their friendly arrangement. It was quite loud as there were some large groups so that could not be helped, but the additional sound of music and TV could have been reduced. My husband had grilled Barramundi with asparagus and enjoyed the meal, although it was a small portion. I've had a lamb with mash and broccoli. It was excellently cooked with broccoli for perfection. The drinks were also offered at a reasonable price. We plan to return another day during the stay in the area. Thank you to the team of SIPS!

We heard some negative things about the restaurant, but decided to give it a chance. We made a reservation for 4 and arrived 10 minutes early. We waited at the bar and ordered drinks, letting the staff know we were there. After four drinks, we were finally seated at our table. The menu was average, but the real disappointment was the food itself. We won't be returning... lesson learned.

During my vacation, I was craving some vegetables and a detox. I decided to order tofu with Asian vegetables, but substituted tofu for chicken. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I received a dish of plain rice, honey soy chicken, and a few pieces of baked carrot. I felt the dish lacked flavor and could have been improved with some sauce. I attempted to provide feedback to the cook twice, but it seemed to go unheard. I also noticed that the 'Indian Style Curry' appeared dry without sauce. I urge the restaurant to consider adding more sauce to their dishes based on customer feedback.

Take the time to visit the SIPS team for some excellent coffee. The staff is very friendly and upbeat, which is sure to brighten your morning. With both indoor and outdoor seating available, you can enjoy your brew while taking in the beach view from the platform across the road. This is a perfect way to start your day.
