The restaurant is called Bear Creek Steak and Pasta House, but it feels more like a European eatery than a traditional steakhouse. I ordered the prime rib, which came with several unidentifiable sides that were quite disappointing. The salad was terrible, and we ended up not eating it at all. Our anniversary dinner turned out to be a complete disappointment. On a positive note, the bread was good, and the lasagna was decent—though it might not suit those who enjoy cheese. I must mention that the server was very friendly, which was a bright spot in the experience. The dessert was included with our meals, but given how unappetizing the food was, we didn't even want to try it.

I went for Sunday breakfast with my dad, and it was amazing! The portions are generous, so there's no way you’ll leave the table hungry. Even the potatoes were delicious, and I usually don't care for breakfast potatoes.

Dinner at the hotel was very good, and the portions were enormous. We didn’t have breakfast there as we left early. Our room was located up the stairs from the check-in desk, and unfortunately, it was quite hot and stuffy. We turned the air conditioning on right away, but it struggled to keep the room cool in the over 30-degree Celsius heat. On the bright side, the beds were comfortable. However, the room's decor was somewhat outdated, though everything was clean. The hotel owners were a lovely, friendly couple, which added a positive touch to our stay. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was disappointing and didn’t work very well. All in all, I would rate the hotel a 3 out of 5. A key detail to note: it is about 10 km out of town.
