Karlseck - Bonn

If you want to enjoy typical German food (Sauerbraten, Schnitzel, Geschnetzeltes etc.) in a nicely decorated setting you should give this Croatian restaurant a try. We always joke that you can get the best German food in a radius of a couple of kilometers right here. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is not overly cordial but the service is correct and quick. The outside seating is a bit noisy because the place is situated at a street corner. There is no parking space available but a tram station is located within a few feet walking distance. We love to go there especially when we come back from travelling and crave something homey like Jägerschnitzel with French fries and a side salad.

I'm already a public guest at Karlseck and I want to say how great you can eat there. They'd have to make a lot more advertising for themselves. The food has always been excellent but since the redesign of Karlseck with a new ambience everything has become much better. I can only put everyone in the heart to go for food.

The food is excellent. The waiters are usually extremely grim and you have the feeling if you are not a regular guest, you are simply annoying. For example, you have to wait for everything forever while the waiters sit with their regular guests and drink. This is different from a visit.

Very nicely furnished, very nice people and good food. You're welcome when you're in Bonn.
