Cafe im Kunstmuseum Bonn

I'm surprised to see such low ratings, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has to do with German service. It sucks most of the time. And, charging outrageous prices for water sucks too. Sit outside; it's noisy as hell inside. And, it's nicer outside. Fortunately, we had a great waiter who also happened to be German. Rare! We were delighted with him. He was willing to explain the dishes to us and I went for the chicken curry, which he recommended. It was undoubtedly one of the best dishes I've eaten in my life. I would put in the top 10 it was so damn good. And, he even brought us tap water. For dessert, the vanilla ice cream with caramelized apples was good, but I'd skip the apples and dive into the best vanilla ice cream in Germany. Seriously, they serve vanilla ice cream that won the award for best ice cream in Germany. It's good - it's as if the vanilla bean were plucked directly from Madagascar and made fresh right before your eyes. There are no menus in any other language but German at this Cafe, so if you get stuck with a waiter that can't speak another language, you're screwed. And, if you don't know what you're ordering, you may end up with a dish you don't like. As for the service, we lucked out. But, it was obvious that people around us were irritated that they weren't being served. As a former waiter, I'm surprised how often the wait staff missed guests trying to get their attention. They either intentionally ignore people because they can't multi-task, or they're simply oblivious; either way it sucks if you want quick service. But, I'm sticking with five stars for our fun loving, multi-lingual, attentive server who delivered the goods. Get the chicken curry and vanilla ice cream for dessert; or one of their delicious cakes. You can't go wrong. Coffee and tea are good too.

Das Café ist günstig gelegen und verfügt über eine gute Karte. Es werden Tagesessen angeboten zum kleinen Preis. Bedienung war schnell und freundlich . Das Essen schmeckte befriedigend.

For a break in art viewing, OK cafe. Little choice, expensive, slow service, but its OK. Stick with coffee and cake.

Food is always of very good level. Prices are not high. Service is friendly. Location next to the museum. We love to have a break in this restaurant.

Das Café im Kunstmuseum ist ein perfekter Stopp, wenn man auf der Museumsmeile unterwegs ist.Wir hatten 2 große Salate, beide mit einer guten Auswahl an Blattsalaten sowie mit Maultaschen bzw Ziegenkäse und 2 Saftschorlen, zusammen für 22,40 EUR. Preise also nicht übertrieben. Die beiden Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und das Essen kam schnell.
