Contribuiți la feedbackWe just visited Grindstone, our first nite we enjoyed cocktails from their menu and a snack. The bartender who seemed new, made a great drink, so we decided to return the next nite and include dinner. A very different experience. A different bartender we ordered the same cocktail on the menu, but received the regular version. We were told by our server that they were out of ingredients for the cocktail we had the nite before, so they made the regular version, which seemed presumptuous, making and serving something we didn’t order. My husband returned his and ordered another drink. When it came time for the bill, I noticed we were charged for the cocktail my husband returned. I mentioned this to our server, who said the bartender told her to keep this on our bill. I explained that they can’t charge us for something we didn’t order, and we immediately sent back. I offered to speak to the bartender myself, then the server checked again, and the drink was taken off our charges. Did they think we wouldn’t check and the charge would simply go through?? This is horrible business practice and dishonest. We won’t return. Be sure to check your final bill!
Great eats and fantastic beer selection! Get there early as it gets busy when the mountain closes!!!
Right, so I wanted to get this review out whilst still fresh in my mind. The only thing fresh about the whole experience unfortunately. I found my meal to be flavorless and sad, which is odd because I was rather hungry, which usually means anything tastes good, but flavor was absent from my meal.. The Burrito: The chicken, dry, flavorless and sad. Seasoning was nonexistent. The rice, overcooked and wet. So much so that I found the burrito to be rather heavy, my arm is sore from having to pick it up and put it down there was so much water in the rice. The picked veg, decent but not anything special. Beans? Lost and saturated in the sea of heavy-wet rice. Thankfully it was served with chips!! I had to shove chips in my mouth for everybite just to add some texture to the meal.Summary Wet, flavorless, dry, bland, heavy and expensive $20+)Break down: 92% rice, 5% chicken, 2% pickled veg, 1% beanFor $20 I would expect a bit more. Definitely willing to give them another shot!!
Decent food and range of beers two mile from the base of Stratton. Reasonably priced. Great escape option when the mountain bars are busy. Friendly service and consistent opening hours (bug difference from Stratton)
Really impressed with the Grindstone! The staff was very kind and attentive. We ordered entrees and a few appetizers to share (after a long day of skiing) and enjoyed our meal.
