The Avenues Tavern - Bohle Plains

We went recently with great friends. We went on a Thursday night which was a $15 Schnitzel night. Or a mega schnitzel for $27. My daughter and I shared the mega schnitzel and we were flat out trying to eat everything. The service was a little lacking and tables were close together. The meals were out fast thou. Good night, great food. We will be back again.

Always have great food and nice family atmosphere.it has a closed in kids room and the gaming room is totally separated from the dining area.

We went around for lunch at the Bistro today. Quite a nice Bistro - opens into the open air, which is excellent at this time of year here in Townsville. We had a couple of lunch time specials, and being Monday, it was fairly quiet. There are two playrooms - one for younger kids, and one for older kids. The gaming room is well away from the Bistro, yet easily accessable. There are several access points from the carpark.

First time dining here we went for a friends birthday dinner. Meals were all good size servings and value for money. Staff were all very friendly and a fun night was had by all in a very relaxed atmosphere

Seems like a nice place to go out for a meal but the meals were over cooked. Ordered a seafood basket and a chicken and prawn stir fry. Seafood basket was supposed to have tiger prawns but they were banana prawns and they were tasteless like farmed prawns. The salt and pepper calamari was so damn chewy!! Sports bar seemed like a great place to hang out with friends and a decent sized gaming room.
