Sanalejo Cafe Restaurante - Bogotá

Great little cafe restaurant. Great ambience (loved the music! and a good selection of wines (and other drinks at very reasonable prices to choose). The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. The best part was the fireplace in a slightly cool evening. If you are in the area, you must visit.

A very enthusiastic positive review of the Sanalejo restaurant in downtown Bogotá. Today, when we couldn't get into our first choice, we went to Sanalejo. The food and service were wonderful and cheap. Then, a few hours later, when we unsuccessful with Uber and the local online taxi link, a Sanalejo employee signals that we are coming. She was successful in finding a taxi for us, not a common feat on a rainy Friday at 4 p.m.

I enjoyed my meal here, such a beautiful and picturesque restaurant with great service and a wide selection on the menu. It is full of local specialties and I had the delicious enpanadas and a kind of chicken soup with potatoes and corn. Just delicious. It has so nany options from fish to pastas as well as meat. The service was fast and attentive and the prices were decent. I would recommend this beautiful place without hesitation.

The restaurant is nice but has nothing extraordinary. The food was quite tasty but cooked far too simple. I didn't realize if it was a tourist place or one for high schoolers. I do not think I would return to this place, although I recommend it to those who do not know where to eat downtown.
