Contribuiți la feedbackStumbled upon this place as we were walking. Lady outside very pleasant. Looked kind of funky from the outside. Decided to return later for dinner. Nice quirky decor. Had their fried avocado which was a first. Was delicious. Other apples we had were also very...tasty. Service was good and staff was friendly. Would be worth going again on the nights when they had live music.
You know how you plan your trip and pretty much everything goes according to plan? That is, you get to see all the things on your list, stick to your budget and feel like it was time and energy well spent. Then, you also do...something that was not on your list and it was that one unplanned for thing, that really made the whole trip? That's how I think about the Revellion. It wasn't just a restaurant, it was an experience. We happened upon it on our way to meet a walking tour. So, after talking with the hostess for a minute, we found that later that night they would be featuring a jazz/funk band. So, we decided that we would come back for dinner, music and because the outward aesthetics of the place were so intriguing we wanted to see more. Revellion has very much a steampunk/Moulin Rouge/Burlesque vibe-so much so, that I had to ask if it was appropriate for my 25 year old daughter (lol). It was. Revellion is a music venue, bar and restaurant and delightful experience all around. We had a scrumptious dinner (I had steak medallions a glass of wine, and she had a pasta dish and wine) dessert and coffee for a very reasonable price. Although, I don't recall what it all costs, I remember that we ate like Queens and felt we had only paid a pittance for it (certainly much less than we would have state-side). In addition to our excellent meals served by our excellent and engaging waiter Giovanni, we had great seating for the band. The band was also very engaging, entertaining and friendly toward us. We stayed at Revellion nearly til closing. There was no pressure to keep buying food or drinks and we felt very welcomed and happy to have found our way there-even after a long day of walking. Revellion is the perfect spot to feel like you have seen a side of Bogota that isn't on the tourist track. It was the perfect end to the day as well as, the cherry on the top of an enjoyable trip to Bogota.
We have travelled to Bogota many times and love this edgy city! Revellion is a new addition in Centro area. Saw a jazz band one night and Salsa lessons another with a verrrry fun late night! Staff is mixed with some English speaking staff always....Makes it easier. Very friendly and helpful. Menu is a mix of local and travel friendly. I had chicken Skewers w chimmichuri. Delicious! I highly recommend an evening at Revellion!
We went on a weekday, so not much happening, but had some great food and drink. Staff great, atmosphere, music good. They have a schedule of different types of music depending on the day.
I passed by by accident and the lady at the entrance was very nicely dressed and friendly, so I went in and was positively surprised by the fantastic decoration. It was very early in the late afternoon, so there was nothing going on as I...was obviously far too early. The place looked to me as a kind of nightclub bar restaurant. I just had a beer and looked around lovely place. I would love to go back there and see the place in full swing. Staff super friendly Try it out, I would suggest !!!
