For a restaurant charging premium prices, I expect exceptional service and ambiance, but Cypress Grille fell short. First, there is no hostess at the front of the restaurant. We had to get someone to honor our reservation. Unfortunately, this individual mishandled our reservation. Also, the waitress forgot our bread, the drink orders were confused, and appetizers and entrees arrived at different times--all served by one person for a table of four. This might be acceptable at a casual diner, but not at a restaurant with $40+ entrees. One couple at our table was surprised by a fee for splitting an appetizer, which wasn't mentioned on the menu or by the waitress. It felt like we were being nickel-and-dimed. Additionally, there are no cocktails available, and the menu's appetizer and entree options are limited. For the prices they charge, Cypress Grille should offer a better experience. It's no match for Tardiff's, Aldo's, or Peggy's, which provide superior food, service, and drink options. I'd recommend skipping Cypress Grille for these other venues.
Some of the best BBQ in the area! They welcomed our dog inside, the waitress was genuinely friendly, the food was all amazing. We had the turkey, ribs, coleslaw, garlic fries, and roasted corn on the cob. ALL of it was great. Our usually finicky 15 year old even loved it. Loved the casual nature of it too with serving on paper plates. My only regret is being too full to try their dessert menu. What a great Sunday afternoon experience!
Scallops were cold, and had to send back to heat them up.
Ribeye ,Mac n cheese, twice baked potatoe, delicious
Dined here on 06/22/24 during a girls trip. Restaurant is pretty and clean, and we were promptly. Server was nice, but probably shouldn’t be waiting tables; she was very unfamiliar with the menu and had to read the two specials for the night from her notebook- she had zero clue- we could have read them ourselves. Wine menu- you're in the middle of Texas wine country and have ONE Texas wine. We brought this up to server who responded well the owners are from California…. This doesn’t make a group of Texas born and bred women happy. Food was way overcooked, and salads were dripping with dressing. My salad was absolutely grotesque. This place is sure to disappoint.
